OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Pastor Jeff Smith began leading Leo Methodist Church in July of 2020. He brings with him over twenty years’ experience leading churches and serving in various denominational leadership roles.  Pastor Jeff brings far more than his considerable ministry experience to serve at Leo GMC. Accompanying him is his wife of three decades, Rhonda Smith. An educator by profession, Rhonda brings her passion for teaching bible studies, with a particular bent for leading women's bible studies. In addition, Rhonda has a huge heart for missions, serving diligently and faithfully in multiple ministries over the years. When asked about his call to ministry, Pastor Jeff will often quip: "I have come to the conclusion that Rhonda has been called to be a Pastor's spouse and I'm just the chump along for the ride." On a more serious note, Pastor Jeff states that his ministry would be dramatically less effective if not for Rhonda's support and guidance. 

An avid reader, Pastor Jeff is a huge fan of Christian apologist CS Lewis. He also loves historical novels. Author James Michener is a particular favorite. And much to Rhonda's chagrin, Pastor Jeff is an unapologetic science fiction buff. 

Come get to know us and get to know our pastor and Rhonda.  Their personal mission statement is that they exist for one reason and one reason only: To build bridges between people and Jesus.  As you get to know Pastor Jeff and Rhonda, you will soon learn that they don’t just talk the talk of that statement, they try to diligently live it.

Terry is new to the Leo area and serves as the Finance Administrator for the Church.  Terry graduated from Indiana University with a Master in Business Management and holds Bachelor degrees in both Accounting and Finance.   Following her IU graduation, Terry began working in the non profit sector.  She has served in many capacities from IT, staff accountant and ultimately served as CEO for three organizations. 

As a Preacher's Kid, she is not new to serving our Risen Lord.  Church was life growing up.  She and her husband, Larry just recently moved to Auburn. They have been involved in ministry all of their life together from choir, worship teams, camps and children's ministry.  They have a genuine heart to serve in any capacity.  The have two beautiful girls who are worship leaders in their home church as well as raising our 7 Grands!

Terry's favorite scripture is a message found written in the cover from her Dad in his Bible after he passed with Alzheimer's a few years ago.  It was a reminder that she must continue spreading the Love of Jesus. 

"Where there is no vision, the people perish.  But he that keepeth the law, happy is he." Proverbs 29:18 KJV

Rob has been with the church for many years.  He and his wife, Mary, have a daughter, Sophie, who is still in school. Rob manages the church facilities and can usually find a solution to almost any problem that arises and is wise enough to never turn down any offers of help. His wealth of knowledge is truly a blessing from above.

 As our Building Manager, Rob, oversees the care, maintenance, and day-to-day operations of our church facilities. With a strong commitment to excellence and a heart for service, Rob ensures that our building remains safe, welcoming, and ready for every ministry and event. His dedication helps create an environment where our church family can gather, worship, and serve with ease and confidence. 

Brooke serves as the Digital Administrator for our church, using her strengths in organization, communication, and technology to support ministry operations and keep our congregation connected. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, which equips her to manage digital communications, streamline processes, and ensure information is shared clearly and effectively.

Brooke is married to her husband, Jesse, and together they have three children. She is passionate about using her gifts to strengthen community, support church leadership, and help the church family stay informed and encouraged.
